Nine Seawolves players have been named to USA Rugby's 35-player extended squad for October's home series against Australia XV, including Ezekiel Lindenmuth and newly signed prop Justus Tavai.
Mason Pedersen, Sean McNulty, Rhyno Herbst, Paddy Ryan, Marno Redelinghuys, Ezekiel Lindenmuth, Justus Tavai, David Coetzer and Dan Kriel have been selected for the extended player pool ahead of matches in Nashville and New Jersey. The series gives our players an opportunity to compete for selection ahead of the Eagles' November Nations Cup tour.
Seattle's representation includes seven forwards and two backs, reflecting the depth of talent connected to our organization.
Forwards: Ezekiel Lindenmuth, Justus Tavai, Mason Pedersen, Sean McNulty, Rhyno Herbst, Paddy Ryan and Marno Redelinghuys.
Backs: David Coetzer and Dan Kriel.
Lindenmuth, who has previously represented the Seawolves, is included in the extended squad while listed with Counties Manukau. His selection adds further experience to the Eagles' forward pack.
Tavai, our first announced signing for the 2027 Major League Rugby season, joins the player pool following two seasons of MLR experience. A former New England Patriots player and Polynesian College Football Player of the Year, he brings size and physicality to our front row.
Coetzer and Kriel are included through USA Rugby's eligibility and developmental pathway. Their involvement gives both players an opportunity to train within the USA setup and compete for matchday selection.
Head Coach Scott Lawrence will use both matches to assess emerging talent and returning players before selecting the Eagles' November touring squad.
The Eagles open their November schedule against Hong Kong in France on November 6, followed by matches against Romania and Georgia to close out their 2026 Nations Cup campaign.
The tour follows an unbeaten summer at home against Portugal, Zimbabwe and Spain, with preparations continuing toward the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
